Appalling Things Donald Trump’s Allies Have Said and Done Since He Reclaimed Office

From the “salute” to claims Black people don’t need as much covid medicine, Trump’s biggest supporters couldn’t wait to show their true colors.

Since Donald Trump won a chance to be in the White House for a second time, his biggest allies have felt brazenly emboldened to say and act however they want. From Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s shocking comments about Black people and vaccines to Elon Musk executing a Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration, here is a list of the most appalling things conservatives have done under Trump’s dangerous term.

During the second confirmation hearing for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., he was questioned about his rhetoric surrounding vaccines and race. In the past, Kennedy claimed that Black people should not be given “the same vaccine schedule that’s given to Whites because their immune system is better than ours.” During hearing, he doubled down on this dangerous assertion.

Last week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested getting rid of foreign news outlets of the White House briefing room after having an issue with a reporter’s accent. The briefing was pertaining to the crash between American Airlines flight and an Army helicopter that killed 67 people. “How about that accent from that reporter? I think we need to throw out all the foreign press! American media first,” Greene stated on X.

Roseanne Barr Culturally Appropriated

Photo: EW

Roseanne Barr co-starred in Tom MacDonald’s song “Daddy’s Home” as both conservative personalities attempted to rap. Barr wears sunglasses, gold chains and box braids. Barr, 72, was fired from her eponymous sitcom in 2018 after she was accused of making a racist remark about Barack Obama. She takes her ignorance one step further with cultural appropriation as she “rapped:” “They try to cancel me and say I’m a racist / I got a mean hook, they can’t get me with that jam.”

Charlie Kirk Went After American Sign Language (ASL) Signers

Recently, Turning Point USA head Charlie Kirk went after American Sign Language signers interpreting during conferences about the Los Angeles wildfires. He called them a “distraction” as it related to the fires. “The reason is they do these emergency briefings for fires or terrorist attacks, and you’re looking at this and you’re not listening. I don’t like it,” Kirk commented.

Disabled Gov. Greg Abbott Banned DEI

At the end of January, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order directing all state agencies to get rid of diversity, equity and inclusion policies, which he called “radical.” “We must always reject race-based favoritism or discrimination and allow people to advance based on talent and merit,” he said despite being part of a vulnerable population himself.

Congressman Byron Donalds Called Trump ‘Daddy’

In a January interview with Fox News, Rep. Byron Donalds referred to Trump as “daddy” while expressing his excitement for MAGA to return to the White House. “When Americans see deportations or repatriations happen, they’re gonna be like, ‘Thank you,’’’Donalds said. “When they see peace starting to break out again around the world, they’re gonna be like, ‘This is the stability that we were asking for’…Daddy’s back.”

During last month’s Senate swearing-in ceremony, Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE) was being sworn in for her third term by Harris. The exchange between the pair was normal and after it was finished, the women shook hands and Harris thanked Fischer for her work. However, when Harris turned to Fischer’s husband, Bruce, to shake his hand, he refused to do so. This move left Harris stunned and noticeably uncomfortable.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Dismissed ‘Wokeness’

Last month, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed “wokeness” during a briefing. While discussing the since-rescinded federal funding freeze memo, the Trump appointee used it as an opportunity to attack left-leaning ideology. Leavitt commented that the “pause” would mean that funds would be divested from “transgenderism and wokeness across our federal bureaucracy and agencies.”

Rep. Josh Schriver Said Gay Marriage Should Be “Illegal Again”

Matt Walsh Believed White Men Could Have Put Out LA Wildfires

Photo: Getty Images The New Republic

Somehow conservative personality Matt Walsh overlooked the severity of the Los Angeles wildfires and made it about diversity, equity and inclusion instead. He bizarrely claimed that the shortage in firefighters was because “Los Angeles deliberately set out to exclude white men from becoming firefighters,” he said on X. “Now they don’t have enough firefighters to prevent their city from burning to the ground. DEI is a cancer that destroys everything it touches.”
