After a historic Democratic National Convention, Barack and Michelle Obama, Steph Curry and Oprah Winfrey are among the Black stars supporting the VP.

Vice President Kamala Harris has energized the presidential election in a way no one, including her could have predicted. The 2024 Democratic National Convention was a star-studded affair, that featured four nights of powerful speeches supporting Harris’ campaign to become the next president. In addition to celebs like Kerry Washington; Stevie Wonder; and John Legend, all of whom have already endorsed the vice president, we got buzzy, impactful moments from Oprah Winfrey; Stephen Curry; Lil Jon; Wendell Pierce; and Barack and Michelle Obama.

Fresh off his heroics in the gold medal game at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry surprised DNC attendees by popping up on video to endorse the former California Senator. He cited the teamwork it took to win gold and the immense pride he had in being a part of Team USA as his inspiration for choosing Harris.

“That unity on and off the court reminded us that together we can do all things and continue to inspire the world,” Curry said while wearing his gold medal. “That’s why I believe that Kamala as president can bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward. This is about preserving hope and belief in our country. Making sure families can be taken care of in their most precious times.”

But thanks to this new announcement, it appears as if she may have had a slight change of heart.
