As we've previously told you, the "One Wish" singer is no stranger to making headlines. Prior to him joining the Millennium Tour earlier this year, he was making folks scratch their heads thanks to hisย bizarre Instagram livestream with Nicki Minajย andย an almost-altercation with Sean โ€œDiddyโ€ Combsโ€™ sons Justin and Quincyย back in November and October 2024, respectively.

He also spoke out in defense of Diddy, got into an online verbal spat with Suge Knight, and divulged a truly disturbing detail about his childhood.

Now, however, it looks like things have taken a more serious turn as evidenced by a new social media post he dropped on Tuesday. In it, Ray J can be seen slightly inebriated while telling his fans that he was about to have a visit with popular life coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant.

"I got Dr. Bryant coming over. A lot of people are telling me, okay just talk to somebody and just let'em know what you going through. So Dr. Bryant is here and I know y'all seen her and how real she be keeping it, he said in part in the video.

"Dr. Bryant about to help me right now and everybody needs help," he said before she instructed him to stop drinking and turn the camera off so they could get to work.

In the caption in the post, the "Last Wish" singer explained that he called her over because she told him that he was experiencing "su!c!dal ideations" as part of a mental health crisis and said that because he didn't know what that meant--they were going to have a session to discuss it.

And while him seeking help should be looked at as admirable, for some people in the comments section of his post, they had a hard time believing he was really in need.

"If you were really in crisis, you wouldn't be thinking about being on video. Everything with you is a show...a production. I could never take this dude seriously," wrote one user.

"You will never find peace until you hold yourself accountable for all the messed up things you have done in the industry," said another.

Added one other user: "One thing Ray J gone do is get our attention."

This wouldn't be the first time that Ray J has said something about experiencing mental health issues, if he's seriously going through it -- here's hoping he really gets the help he needs.
