Earlier this month, TMZ caught up with Tracy Morgan and asked about his return to comedy, and the comedian put the celebrity-gossip site in check.

And he'll prove that when he returns to the stage that gave him his start.
On Oct. 17, Morgan is returning to host Saturday Night Live.
In June, during an inteview with the Today show, Morgan spoke about his mission to get back to work after he fully recovers from an accident last year involving a Wal-Mart tractor trailer.
"I can't wait to get back to [comedy], but right now my goal is just to heal and get better. Because I'm not 100 percent yet. I'm not. And when I'm there, you'll know it. I'll get back to making you laugh. I promise you."
Morgan is also scheduled to head to a new show on FX Networks soon. Executives had said that the series was shelved after his accident, but it's now back in production.
