Tracy Morgan Critical After N.J. Crash

Popular comedian and actor Tracy Morgan was listed in critical condition after a six-vehicle accident in New Jersey early Saturday, authorities said, according to CNN.

Morgan, a former member of the Saturday Night Live and co-star of 30 Rock was riding in a limo bus when the accident occurred in Mercer County, N.J., said Sgt. Gregory Williams of the New Jersey State Police, the news site says. The crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville caused the limo bus to overturn, the police spokesman told CNN.

“The limo bus is the only vehicle that overturned,” Williams told CNN. “Looks like one of the tractor-trailers may have rear-ended that limo bus, but that's preliminary at this time.”

The news site reports that one person was killed and seven others hospitalized with injuries, authorities said.

A spokesman for the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital told CNN that four patients are being treated at the facility, including three who are listed in critical condition and one in fair condition.

The hospital told CNN that a man named Tracy Morgan was among those listed in critical condition but, citing privacy laws, declined to confirm that it is the actor. State police confirmed his identity to CNN.
