But after watching, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this show is suspenseful and hilarious, giving us a Breaking Bad-meets-Steel Magnolias vibe! During the American Black Film Festival, The Root got the chance to chat with stars Judy Reyes and Karrueche Tran and the showrunner, Janine Sherman Barrois, to talk about the stereotypes of women of color on TV and what brings their claws out in real life. Watch Claws Sunday nights on TNT.
