While the controversial language about African-American children and slavery has since been changed in the conservative pledge that Michele Bachmann signed, Stephen Colbert points out that the GOP candidate is a big fan of references to the institution, including “economic slavery” among her talking points and saying the “gay and lesbian lifestyle” is “personal enslavement.” Plus, he does a pretty good impression of Rick Santorum being “taken aback” by the language in the pledge … and proceeding to sign it immediately thereafter.
