Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2:25 p.m. EDT: George Zimmerman wants to stop a subpoena for his medical records: The Associated Press reports that lawyers for the former neighborhood-watch volunteer argue that prosecutors' request for their client's medical records is too broad and will include information that is irrelevant, according to theΒ Miami Herald.Β A hearing is set for Friday.Β 

Monday, Aug. 20, 4:51 p.m. EDT: Zimmerman's lawyers will appeal a judge's decision not to step aside in the controversial case:Β Lawyers for George Zimmerman, who faces second-degree-murder charges, announced Monday on a website they've set up that they filed a petition for a writ of prohibition asking Florida's 5th District Court of Appeal to try to removeΒ Seminole County Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester from the case because he usedΒ "gratuitous and disparaging" language in one of his orders, according to CNN.
