The hip-hop mogul issued an apology at his Global Grind site, saying, “When my buddies from the NAACP called and asked me to take down the Harriet Tubman video from the All Def Digital YouTube channel and apologize, I agreed.”

Earlier:

All Def Digital, the brainchild of Russell Simmons and Awesomeness TV CEO Brian Robbin, apparently removed a racially and sexually offensive YouTube video that showed a fictionalized account of how Harriet Tubman won her freedom. During the “reenactment,” Tubman seduces her master, telling him, “All these years I’ve been acting like I didn’t enjoy our special time together.” The pair then engages in a sex act that culminates with Harriet’s master confessing his love for her, while she brushes him off, saying, “Look n*gga, I don’t give a damn about who you love.”
