According to ABC News, the boy arrived in New York on Saturday from Guinea. It is unclear when the boy's temperature spiked, but according to media reports he posted a fever of 103 degrees and had been vomiting when he was transported to the hospital from his home in the Bronx Sunday.

ABC notes that he is being tested for Ebola and he is not being held under quarantine.

The boy is being treated at the same hospital where New York doctor Craig Spencer is reportedly being kept in isolation after testing positive for Ebola. Spencer recently returned to the States after treating patients with the disease in Guinea. Media reports note that Spencer's health is improving, but add that he remained in serious but stable condition on Sunday.
