At this point I would take a cardboard box that had been flattened by a four-wheeler over this administration. I don’t say that lightly. I literally mean that a cardboard box wearing a hat and a robe would do a better job of not being an offensive asshole like the current president of the United States.

Rob Porter, the reported boyfriend of the president’s fake daughter and current White House communications director, Hope Hicks, was accused of beating two former wives. One of the women, Colbie Holderness, told the Daily Mail that during a vacation in Florence, Italy, Porter became angry and punched her in the face. Holderness included photos of herself with a badly bruised eye. Porter’s second wife, Jennifer Willoughby, said that the emotionally abusive Porter was physically abusive just once during their marriage but added during an interview with CNN that she was genuinely concerned for Hope Hicks’ safety.

“I don’t think he’s changed,” Willoughby said. “It definitely worries me because if I’m being frank with you, if he hasn’t already been abusive with Hope, he will. Particularly now that he’s under a lot of stress and scrutiny. That’s when the behaviors come out.”

Instead of laying low on the subject and letting speculation about whether the White House hired Porter fully knowing that he was an abuser die down, what does the president do? You guessed it: He calls reporters into the Oval Office so that he can wish Porter a fond farewell while emphasizing that Porter claimed he was innocent.

“I found out about it recently and I was surprised by it,” Trump said, CNN reports. “We certainly wish him well. It’s obviously a very tough time for him. He did a very good job while he was in the White House.”

Did Trump mention the women who were reportedly beaten? Nope.

“He says he’s innocent, and I think you have to remember that,” Trump said. “He said very strongly yesterday that he’s innocent, but you’ll have to talk to him about that.”

Sadly, Trump’s comments aren’t shocking anymore, as he is the man who openly supported Roy Moore, a reported pedophile, for Congress. Porter submitted his resignation Wednesday, but he will still be around the White House because they never wanted him to quit in the first place. Seriously, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, aka Suckabee, noted that while Porter’s resignation had been accepted, he would not be leaving immediately.

Trump said that he “strongly” said that he’s innocent? Ok. I’m willing to believe him, but only if he asks him a second time, but in a totally different way.

This mfer is insane.
