I know it wasn’t furniture, but that’s what we’re getting now! Solange’s Saint Heron is now collaborating with our fave furniture store, Ikea.
At first I was just confused, like, OK ... but I’m actually pretty excited. I mean, who doesn’t love decor? With Solange behind this, I’m sure we’ll be in for a treat, especially since we’re so used to seeing Ikea’s basic white drawers and chairs.
Marcus Engman, the head of design at Ikea Range & Supply, describes the collab as something that could come alive in people’s homes.
“At Ikea we are curious about the creative space in between architecture, design, art and music and how that could come alive in the homes of many people. This is what we want to explore together with Saint Heron,” Engman said.
Whether or not the collab is actually aesthetically pleasing, it should be a good move for Ikea because I know I’m not the only one who’s getting bored with them. It should be refreshing to see some new pieces that could add a little flair to our homes.
