AP reports that President Barack Obama and his daughters, Sasha and Malia (looks like Michelle Obama sat out this visit), kicked it with the Vedder clan for less than half an hour. No word on whether the two heads of their respective parties composed music or laid down any tracks, but the White House did tell the news service that the rocker is a friend of the Obamas.

Before leaving the island Sunday and returning to Washington, POTUS visited with his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, took in some sun at the beach and visited “the cemetery where his mother’s father is buried,” AP notes.
