Nigerian president Umaru Yar’Adua died Wednesday having battled kidney problems and an inflamed heart issue for quite sometime. While Yar-Adua was sick, his vice president assumed control of Nigeria, a controversial transition of power that has been discussed here, on The Root. The president will be buried today in accordance with his Muslim faith.
