Former N.Y. Rep. Jamaal Bowman might be out of Congress, but that clearly isn't slowing down his infamously wild antics and sometimes questionable theories. Now, he's back with interesting speculation on the ongoing health crisis in the Black community, and as you can expect, MAGA is having a field day.

A discussion on "CNN NewsNight" took a turn after Bowman boldly claimed the N-word was responsible for chronic diseases raging in Black communities. "The reason why heart disease and cancer and obesity and diabetes are bigger in the Black community is because of the stress we carry from having to deal with being called the N-word directly or indirectly every day," he said.
To Bowman's credit, past studies have noted an undeniable link between racism and health concerns for Black Americans. Most recently, an University of Michigan study found Black women suffer from biological aging faster than other ethnic groups due to stress caused by discrimination... But, there's currently no evidence directly backing up Bowman's claims.
"If your [Republican] colleagues would listen and try to learn and engage and grow, and stop being so hateful, we could have a better country, but unfortunately weโre still here," the former Congressman added before noting, "We have cops beating Black people to death, and theyโre acquitted!"
In response, @allaboutme225 tweeted, "N****s will say anything when they losing omg." Bowman lost his bid for reelection in 2025. Before that, he had been representing New York's 16th congressional district since 2021.
Bowman's recent remarks drew harsh criticism from right-wing folks like Frost Caldwell, who said, "This is why everyone has black fatigue." He added, "Youโre not oppressed nor are you or anyone you know a slave. Nobody calls you the n word other than your black friends."
Others at the roundtable accused Bowman of playing the oppression Olympics. That's when he responded, "I donโt want to quantify pain. Thatโs not what Iโm talking about. Everyone goes through pain. But the racism in this country is a disease that will destroy us, and itโs destroying us right now as we speak."
"All the black rappers have the N word in their songs. But that's ok?" @VGirl6516231 asked. Another user, @pauldixon296691, tweeted, "Democrats elect some of the dumbest people on planet Earth ."
Bowman is no stranger to controversy. In 2023, he made headlines after pulling a Capitol Hill fire alarm during a government shutdown vote.
