The Cavaliers have excused those players who have noted that they don't want to stay in hotels owned by the president-elect because of divisive and racist comments made during his campaign, ESPN reports.

The Cavs, who are in New York to take on the Knicks on Wednesday, were booked to stay at the Trump SoHo in Manhattan. Some players have elected not to stay at the luxury hotel. Three teamsโ€”the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericksโ€”announced shortly after Trump's win that their players would not be staying in Trump-branded hotels.
