Home Depot is apologizing for what some are calling a racist tweet sent out by the megastore. The tweet shows two African-American drummers and a third man in a monkey mask with the caption, "Which drummer is not like the others?"

The hardware chain store tweeted the photo on Thursday and then promptly took it down and issued an apology. The company said that they were "deeply sorry for the dumb tweet" and then explained their position on racial insensitivity.

"We have zero tolerance for anything so stupid and offensive. Deeply sorry." Home Depot tweeted.


Then they proved their point.

"We terminated agency and individual who posted it," Home Depot tweeted.

Then in a bizarre turn of life imitating art or art imitating life, comedian Roy Woods Jr. tweeted:

After his tweet was picked up by Time magazine and The Today Show, Woods then tweeted:
