One of President Vladimir TrumPutin’s sons was out here spilling all the tea in 2014, telling a prominent golf writer that Russians funded one of Papa’s golf courses, because of course they did.

James Dodson, who co-authored the Arnold Palmer biography A Golfer’s Life, told Boston radio station WBUR that during a trip to one of Donald Trump’s North Carolina golf clubs, he and Trump’s son Eric Trump hit the links, and Eric began boasting that his family got the course popping with a Russian money gun.

“When I got in the cart with Eric, as we were setting off, I said, ‘Who’s funding?’” Dodson said in the interview, the New York Daily News reports.

“I know no banks—because of the recession, the Great Recession—have touched a golf course,” Dodson said. “No one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years. And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’”

Dodson told the Daily News that Trump was “simple and casual” about the Russia relationship.

“It was a casual remark; it was just two guys golfing and talking,” Dodson said. “I’m sure he didn’t think anything about it. Why would he think anything about it?”

Dodson said he didn’t think twice about the comment, since Russians were known to invest in golf courses, and Trump was building courses when others couldn’t get money to do so.

A White House spokesperson did not immediately return the Daily News’ request for comment.

Also, the Daily News pointed out that during a 2008 real estate conference, Donald Jr. dropped a similar remark about taking funds from Russia. Donald Jr. told the crowd that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Although TrumPutin claims that he has no ties to Russia, clearly TrumPutin has a guest bedroom in the White House for Russian oligarchs and prostitutes.

I would write something about how this particular individual always looks so sickly and insipid, but then someone will complain that I’m unfairly face-shaming him or whatever. So I won’t be saying that...

Didn’t people try to say during the election that no bank in the US would lend to him because he sucks at making money so he probably went to Russia. But of course that got ignored because he such a great business man. I mean, look at all those buildings with his name on it... yeah.
