Parents at a South Carolina high school graduation ceremony were asked to hold their applause or risk being thrown out of the ceremony. But when Shannon Cooper, overjoyed at her daughter's accomplishment, broke the rule and cheered, she wasn't just escorted out of the building — she was actually arrested for disorderly conduct and spent the better part of what should have been a happy day behind bars, according to WPDE-TV.
Unless we're missing a huge piece of this story — like the part where she was actually disorderly, in the criminal sense of the word — this sounds to us like a massive overreaction.
