Singer Chris Brown never truly misses and opportunity to get certain things off his chest. And that's exactly what he did here recently in a new social media post.

For context, if you've spent any amount of time on the music side of the internet, then you may regularly come across people who draw comparisons between the "Sensational" singer and other entertainers in the industry. Chief among them include deceased greats like Michael Jackson and contemporaries like Usher and R. Kelly. Conversations about where Brown stands amongst the R&B space specifically, were renewed recently thanks to Billboard's latest ranking of the top 75 R&B artists.
Well, it looks like the "Residuals" singer is sick of people trying to draw similarities to his career and recently took to his Instagram stories to express as much.
"I wish yall stop comparing me to other [artists] and saying me vs someone else. Until one of these artists do all this shit by themselves with no help and the media constantly fucking with them, then come holla at me," he wrote in a since-expired post. "Iโm trying to feed my family! I could give a fuck about the next artist and what they doing! I donโt fuck with celebrities at all and Iโm not welcome in their circles.โ
He concluded: "F*CK EVERYTHING ELSE! I BEEN OVERLY BUSTING MY ASS FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS and I understand I will never be recognized for nothing more than drama! So miss me with all that sh*t please."
And maybe Brown is right, he does have other things to be concerned about: like the assault charges he's facing--stemming from an alleged incident in a nightclub in London in 2023. Despite the fact that his accuser filed to have the case dismissed with prejudice, Brown is still facing criminal charges in association with the incident. As we previously told you, the lawsuit claimed that the R&B singer beat a music producer "over the headโ with a bottle of Don Julio tequila, then โruthlessly stompedโ on him while kicking him in the back of his neck.
