You’ll Never Guess What President George W. Bush Has To Say About Obama Divorce Rumors

Although some can’t stop speculating that the Obamas are headed for divorce, one famous friend says it’s all a big lie.

If you’ve been following our reporting, you know that rumors have been swirling about the possibility of divorce between Black America’s favorite First Couple, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. The chatter has grown so loud that the pair appeared together on Mrs. Obama’s IMO podcast to set the record straight. And while some are still not convinced that there is no trouble in paradise, one famous friend of the Obamas is not here for any of the hearsay.

In a recent episode of her talk show, “Today with Jenna and Friends,” former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager said her father, former President George W. Bush, was “kind of mad” when she called him to get his take on what the streets have been saying about a potential split between the Obamas.

“He was like, ‘That isn’t true. I know them and it isn’t true,’” she told guest cohost Octavia Spencer on her show. “Sometimes when you’re in the public eye like that, those rumors start.”

The Bushes and the Obamas may sit on opposite sides of the political aisle, but don’t get it twisted, they have established a friendship based on mutual respect and a shared sense of humor.

Who could forget the moment Bush slipped Mrs. Obama a mint at his father, former President George H.W. Bush’s funeral?

The two were even caught on camera sharing an embrace during the 2016 dedication of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

Although some have accused Mrs. Obama of spilling a little too much tea about her marriage since leaving the White House in 2017, the “Becoming” author has maintained that when it comes to her relationship, she is all in.

“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting my man, and we’ve had some really hard times. We’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to,” Mrs. Obama said on the July 16 episode of IMO.
