Temitope Alao had been trying to conceive for about six years, and atย about eight months into her pregnancy, she gave birth to two boys and a bouncing baby girl.

The 34-year-old welcomed three 3-pounders into the world: a girl, Temiloluwa, meaning โ€œGod belongs to meโ€; and two boys, Oluwafikayomi and Ifeoluwa, meaning โ€œGod has increased my joyโ€ and โ€œGodโ€™s love,โ€ respectively.ย

Both of the babiesโ€™ grandmothers were in the delivery room, including the new motherโ€™s mother-in-law, Afolake Alao, 58, a longtime registered nurse at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn. The News reports that Afolake insisted that her daughter-in-law come to the United States for the delivery.

โ€œI knew she would get good care here,โ€ said Afolake at a press conference on Friday.

Temitopeโ€™s trip to New York involved a 13-hour flight with a layover in Paris; the babies will return to Nigeria when they are old enough to travel.

The proud papa is reportedly making his way to the U.S. to see his new family.
