Why the Internet is Loving North West’s Look in New SKIMS Ad!

Instead of criticizing her fashions like many folks do for being “too grown,” North West’s look in a new SKIMS ad has the internet applauding!

North West has given folks another fashion moment to talk about. But instead of criticizing her look, like people did when she walked the streets of Rome with bright blue pigtails and a corset top, folks are complimenting how cute the young fashion icon looks in an ad for SKIMS.

Kim Kardashian just started releasing the marketing campaign for her latest SKIMS collection, a winter collaboration with fashion brand Cactus Plant Flea Market, which drops Nov. 20. The marketing campaign features a mix of celebrities and influencers such as Mariah the Scientist, Ken Carson, and singer Beabadoobee, but the main character stealing the spotlight is her very own daughter North West.

Appearing in her first SKIMS ad since 2020, North rocks her bright blue hair braided into four sections, twirling them around while wearing the latest SKIMS collection. In the ad, she wears a holiday-themed tracksuit with a gingerbread and snow print on it, which she pairs with furry white boots.

“Everybody’s wearing SKIMS,” the 13-year-old says into the camera.

In the comments of the short ad, folks couldn’t help but express just how cute North looks in the video.

“She’s sooo prettyyy,” wrote one user.

“Kimberly, this was the celebrity we’ve been waiting for you to collab with,” added another.

“She’s so cute,” added another.

“HER HAIR IS EVERYTHING,” wrote another user.

However, other folks felt that North acted like she had been forced to film the video because she didn’t “seem” excited in the ad.

“Here, mom damn,” commented one user.

“‘Everybody’s wearing SKIMS.’ “My mom made me do this,” wrote another.

While folks didn’t really have an issue with North’s fashion this time, users did note that they thought the SKIMS ad was tone deaf due to its tagline, “Everybody’s wearing SKIMS.”

Users commented that people across the US are struggling to afford basic groceries after the government shutdown, which left millions of families without their SNAP benefits, and the latest SKIMS drop is the least of their worries.

“Everybody? Ma’am, we can’t afford food rn,” wrote one user with a laughing emoji.

“Everybody is starving and can’t afford Christmas,” added another.

“Well, good for them. I’m broke,” wrote another.
