How interesting is it that women who have been historically marginalized are now front and center for all the world to see — as lonely, desperate, undesirable and not marriageable. The blame game, scare tactics, the Obama effect and marriage as a measure of success are reasons given for the obsession with single, black women. We think it's because pummeling black women in the press is as American as apple pie. It sold papers 100 years ago and gets clicks now.
