Back in the day, was running things with the inside dope on Black media and this joint offers an informative interveiw and retrospective. Writing as Crispus Attucks, hacker-turned-media maniac John Lee aired folks out like it was nothing at all, and the comments section was no holds barred, like the Wild Bunch, times ten. In the days when the Internets was young, there was no fronting alllowed: people used thier real names to get at folks, start rumors and put folks on full blast. I did a few joints for UE back in the day, including this exclusive about the demise of Code Magazine, Flynt Media's noble attempt at a smart black men's monthly. was kind of like the Black Gawker, and nothing even comes close to that today. Am I the only one who remembers it fondly?
