Donald Trump has been the officially declared president-elect for a little over 24 hours now.

And amid the uncertainty and shock from those who had supported Trump's Democratic opponent (or just generally decent people), some of Trump's supporters have been adding fuel to the fire, allegedly harassing people of color, members of the LGBT community and women.

Social media has been flooded with such stories over the past 24 hours, and activist and writer Shaun King has been using his Twitter to share as many as he can.

In the midst of all this, several protesters across the nation, from New York to Chicago to Washington, D.C., to Austin, Texas, have taken to the streets to decry and denounce Trump's presidency, carrying signs declaring, "Not My President," "[F—k] Donald Trump" and similar slogans.

The nation is clearly at odds right now, and it most certainly is going to be a long four years. So please, remember to take a moment of self-care today, tomorrow and for the next 1,460 days or so …
