Friday, April 12, 7:58 a.m. EDT: Zimmerman's mom writes open letter: George Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman, has tweeted a two-page letter penned by his mother, Gladys. In it she calls today, the anniversary of her son's arrest for the murder of Trayvon Martin, a reminder of "the day the justice system failed us as Americans." Seemingly believing that it was unjust for a man who admitted to killing an unarmed teenager to face murder charges, she blames "the media with the help of social media" for all that, in her view, went wrong. The letter does not mention Trayvon or his family.
