This weekend, Howard and Morehouse will battle it out on the football field, but be sure not to miss them also battle it out on the mic at The Root's Nation's Football Classic Rap Battle.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, from noon to 12:45 p.m., MCs from both schools will go head-to-head in a 45-minute freestyle battle during the Pepsi Max Fan Festival on the AT&T Soundstage at RFK Stadium. The battle will be hosted by Angie Ange of D.C.'s 93.9 WKYS and Fonzworth Bentley, and DJ Kool will spin music in the background. [The football game in RFK starts at 3:30 p.m.]

One MC from Howard will battle one MC from Morehouse in one of four rounds. At the end of each round, the crowd will vote via text message to choose a winner. After the first round, the top six (three from Howard and three from Morehouse) will advance to subsequent rounds until the most popular MC from Howard battles the most popular MC from Morehouse. Each MC will get 60 seconds in each round to perform.

The winner will receive our Party Like a Rap Star package, which includes:

* A table at Love Nightclub during the official after-party Saturday night, for the winner and five guests
