Fun fact—or, in this case, funny fact, for a beauty vertical: I first fell for YouTuber @krissychula on a bad hair day in 2012. It was a really bad hair day, to hear her tell it:

Since being “pissed off” at her hair (and who here can’t relate?), @krissychula, also known as Krystal, has elevated irritation into an art form—while subtly taking us on her own natural-hair journey.

Now at 200-plus videos, this straight-talking and hilarious vlogger consistently brings black-girl realness to a diverse range of topics, from the McDonald’s ice cream machine to Miley Cyrus, the rights of transgender people, the election of Donald Trump and why we should all worry about our own edges. But perhaps she’s most famous for simply talking about the weather:

In her latest rant (at the top of this piece), @krissychula tells us the “real” story behind the first black soon-to-be member of the British royal family, and provided an alternative scenario that I must admit sounds intriguing.

We’re here for it. But all this snark doesn’t happen without support: Like many creative talents, @krissychula has an ability to create pure comedy and new content that can be directly correlated to her access to equipment, promotions, etc. And since we’re not fans of folks enjoying black women’s labor for free, we’re just going to discreetly drop this handy link to her Patreon page here.

Because while @krissychula already has a channel, she deserves a show. That’s a show I’d watch.
