And no, this is not some naughty Instagram post from the poptress, but refers to the role she will have in the final season of Bates Motel, a spin-off of the classic film Psycho, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
Rihanna’s casting was revealed Friday at the Comic-Con International convention in San Diego, and soon after, the show’s official Twitter account tweeted a video of the singer announcing the role as only she can.
“Hello, Comic-Con,” Rihanna begins. “It’s ya girl RiRi, and let me tell you what a bad bitch is about to do. I’m about to check into the Bates Motel very soon.” And then, “Guess who’s playing Marion?”
The character of Marion, of course, was stabbed repeatedly in the shower in the Psycho film. The famous scene of actress Janet Leigh being stabbed by Norman Bates (played by Anthony Perkins) is one of the most iconic in American film.
