In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press. 

Later in the afternoon, the President will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Medal of Freedom is our Nation’s highest civilian honor, presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors. The ceremony is open press. 

In the evening, the President will meet with Secretary of Defense Panetta in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
