Judge Bernice Donald

Whitehouse.gov is reporting that President Barack Obama has nominated Judge Bernice Bouie Donald for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. "Judge Donald has shown an outstanding commitment to public service throughout her career and as a district judge in Tennessee," President Obama stated. He went on to say that he was proud to nominate her and is "confident she will serve the American people with distinction." Judge Donald is a distinguished jurist with more than 28 years of judicial experience.  For the past 15 years, she has served as a U.S. district judge for the Western District of Tennessee. Judge Donald currently serves as the secretary of the American Bar Association. Kudos to Judge Donald for getting the nomination and to President Obama for making it, particularly because there are so many judicial seats that need to be filled.
