Millions of Americans who had individual plans have been receiving cancellation notices. Obama assured a gathering of about 200 campaign supporters and health care activists Monday that while he understands that being kicked off of their health care plans "can be scary for people," often they had been receiving a bad deal in the first place.ย 

Obama told the crowd that while the start has been bumpy, the Affordable Care Act is making the insurance market better for everyone.

He acknowledged that the health care website has been experiencing some technical difficulties, which are making it tougher for people to find other plans. He says he's "not happy about it," but promised, "We're going to smooth this thing out," the Huffington Post reports.
