On Monday the New York City Police Department identified Officer Miguel Gonzalez of the 67th Precinct in the borough of Brooklyn as the cop who pumped five bullets into Jeune after his mother called 911 to say that her “nonviolent” son was acting erratically.

Cops say they tried to subdue Jeune with a Taser, but when that did not prove effective, they opened fire on the mentally distressed Brooklynite. Jeune died on the scene.

Sources tell the New York Post that Gonzalez also shot Davonte Pressley in October. The Post reports that 23-year-old Pressley called 911 and described himself to police as a man with a gun in an attempt to commit “suicide by cop.”

Pressley, diagnosed with bipolar disorder two years prior, allegedly came at cops with a knife when they arrived on the scene, and was shot three times in the torso by Gonzalez.

Pressley did not die that day and is currently facing charges of attempted assault on a police officer, as well as charges of attempted menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
