Air Academy Federal Credit Union dropped Marshall as a spokesman after he joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, his college teammateยญ, to protest social injustice before the start of Thursday nightโ€™s Broncos vs. Carolina Panthers game.

โ€œWhile we respect Brandonโ€™s right of expression, his actions are not a representation of our organization and membership,โ€ said the unionโ€™s president and chief executive, Glenn Strebe, in a statement.

Marshall defended his actions in an Instagram post, making it clear that he wasnโ€™t protesting against the military, police or America.
