As if there were any question as to whether or not Luke Cage was returning for a second season, Netflix finally announced that the show was officially being renewed for a second season.

The first season of Luke Cage was met with critical acclaim and was one of Netflix’s top-streamed shows. The series had an all-star cast that included Michael Colter as Cage, along with Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Erik LaRay Harvey and Rosario Dawson. It also had an amazing soundtrack and was filled with social commentary.
Although there’s no word on when the second season will air, Netflix is already preparing for upcoming seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones and a first season of The Punisher.
