Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me tells the story of Michel’le’s journey in the music business, the violent relationship she had with Dr. Dre and her ties to Suge Knight. Rhyon Nicole Brown is playing Michel’le, Curtis Hamilton will portray Dr. Dre, Jamie Kennedy will be playing Jerry Heller, and R. Marcos Taylor, who played Suge Knight in Straight Outta Compton, will portray him again.

The “No More Lies” singer has been vocal about the abuse Dr. Dre dealt her in their relationship, and when Straight Outta Compton was released last year, after many people wondered why she wasn’t included in the film, she said she “was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat up and told to sit down and shut up.”

Although the Lifetime clip doesn’t show much about the movie, it definitely plays on the fact that she was told to shut up by having imagery of Michel’le with a sticker over her mouth.
