Dwanya Porche Hickerson, 20, pleaded not guilty to the stabbing death of 25-year-old Dee Whigham, a transgender Mississippi woman, CBS News reports.

Hickerson, a U.S. Navy sailor from New Orleans, was charged with capital murder; he is accused of stabbing and slashing Whigham 119 times in a coastal Mississippi hotel room in July.

Whigham had been visiting friends at the time. They found her body in their hotel-room shower.

According to CBS News, Hickerson was identified after a surveillance video was released of a man with his shirt around his neck leaving the hotel room.

Hickerson is being held without bond.
