It all started when racist trolls being their usual troglodyte selves posted venomous remarks about an Old Navy ad featuring an interracial family—consisting of a black woman, a white man and a black child—in a rather adorable photo.

Jack McCain was not having it. The Navy helicopter pilot, who is married to Air Force Reserve Capt. Renee Swift, a black woman, tweeted a picture of the pair in their respective uniforms Monday afternoon with the caption, "To the people upset about the #OldNavy 'Scandal' of a picture of a mixed race marriage, eat it," tagging his wife in the tweet.

But Jack McCain didn't stop there. He shared another gorgeous photo of the couple on their wedding day in 2013, clapping back resoundly with the caption, "I hope this one burns too, you ignorant racists."
