Singer-actress Jill Scott wrote on Twitter Friday morning that Weinstein was so rude to her the first time they met, she has avoided him ever since.

โ€œWhen I met Harvey Weinstein, he was RUDE. In the NASTIEST tone he said โ€œWho told you to get pregnant?!โ€ And rolled his eyes in disgust,โ€ she wrote in the first of two tweets.

โ€œI stayed away from him after. Who acts that way towards a pregnant woman?? Power to all the women bullied by assholes. Power in general.โ€

Scott didnโ€™t elaborate on where the incident occurred and gave no context for what led to Weinsteinโ€™s statement, but even as a stand-alone comment, itโ€™s a pretty disgusting thing to say to a pregnant woman.

Scott then alluded to maybe having had other negative experiences in Hollywood.

In a subsequent tweet she said, โ€œWhatโ€™s true is there are stories I will never tell publicly. I have my reasons and peace in those areas.โ€

The common thread is that most women who have been sexually harassed, sexually assaulted or sexually abused have had at least one of those things happen to them more than once. And like Scott, many of them wonโ€™t talk about most of those experiences.

โ€œItโ€™s a sick, sad worldโ€ is a real thing, and we are living in it every day.
