Aliyah Shahid at New York's Daily News is reporting that GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain said that unemployed Wall Street protesters have only themselves to blame for not having a job. He also charged that the demonstration is being "orchestrated" by the Obama administration.

"I don't have the facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama Administration," Cain told the Wall Street Journal.

The Tea Party favorite then argued that the plight of the unemployed was their own fault.

"Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks, if you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself. It is not someone's fault if they succeeded, it is someone's fault if they failed,” the ex-Godfather's Pizza CEO declared.

This sort of negative rhetoric is classic Herman Cain. Clearly he is trying to hang on to his temporary lead in the GOP polls by serving up more Tea Party propaganda. As a man who rose from poverty himself to become a member of the upper middle class, he should try to offer encouraging words of advice to the protesters instead of tearing them down. That's what a true leader would do.
