Here's What Happened When Yahoo! Finance Tweeted, ‘Trump Wants a Much N–ger Navy’

The person who runs Yahoo! Finance’s Twitter account should probably learn how to proofread the tweets before either scheduling them or sending them out live. In a tweet that was simply supposed to state that Donald Trump wants a bigger Navy, it actually said something totally different:

Yeah, we’re pretty sure Trump would want anything but that. Of course, black Twitter never sleeps, and seized the opportunity to do what it does best. And that’s how #NiggerNavy came to be:

It took the person responsible for the Twitter account almost 20 minutes to delete the tweet. And about an hour later, Yahoo! Finance apologized for the tweet:

We deleted an earlier tweet due to a spelling error. We apologize for the mistake.
