Having long been the punch line of rhetorical jokes, the meme Deez Nuts is now pushing its way into the political conversation after a poll released Wednesday by Public Policy Polling noted that while Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's lead continues to grow, "Deez Nuts," an independent candidate, just might "Got 'Em."

According to the poll, Trump is leading North Carolina with 24 percent of registered voters polled, but Deez Nuts has gained 9 percent of the vote. Apparently, Syracuse.com reports, the candidate is based in Wallingford, Iowa, which boasts a population of 197, and has already gone viral.
While many still aren't sure what platform Deez Nuts is running on, it's safe to say that Deez Nuts is a long way from the White House.
