(The Root) — Viral video of a performance by R&B singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank has had the Internet wondering about Ginuwine’s sobriety this week. The three — known as TGT — performed on the CBS show The Couch to promote their upcoming album, Three Kings. Tank played the keyboard while Tyrese sang and Ginuwine made weird faces into the camera.

To make things just a bit more awkward, Tyrese, visibly annoyed, glared over at Ginuwine several times as he squirmed on his stool and barely sang until his part toward the end of the song. The video has since gone viral, and the whole Internet thinks Ginuwine must have been on something.

But Ginuwine is laughing off the allegations on Twitter and downright denying them via video, where he attributes his behavior to an odd reaction to a 5-Hour Energy shot. The Internet, however, isn’t buying it. Check out his Twitter explanation below.
