Former WWF Wrestler Chyna Dies at 45

Joan Laurer, better known as World Wrestling Federation wrestler Chyna, has died at the age of 45.

According to CNN, Laurer was found dead Wednesday evening in her home by a friend who went to check on her after not hearing from her for a couple of days. The cause of Laurer's death is not yet known.

Laurer was a trailblazer when it came to wrestling. Laurer rose to prominence in the old WWF in 1997 and was called the "Ninth Wonder of the World." She became the first and only female wrestler to hold theΒ WWF Intercontinental ChampionshipΒ twice and theΒ WWF Women's ChampionshipΒ once. Once she retired from wrestling, Laurer went on to appear in adult films and reality-TV shows.
