Here at The Glow Up, we believe that the family that slays together stays together. But not all of us have been able to be with our families or get into the holiday spirit this year. (For reasons.) That’s why we have the Thompson family to thank for a much-needed dose of adorable to get us through an otherwise bleak holiday season, courtesy of their annual Christmas video.

If this family looks familiar to you, it’s because they’ve been doing this for twelve years now. The tradition that has evolved from plays put on by the family’s grandkids in the early aughts to full-scale, full-family productions since 2006, now produced by family filmmaker Shayla Racquel. And each video is a group lip-synch to a popular song—with this year’s honor rightly going to the recently departed Queen of Soul.
