According to the social media sphere, Antoine Dodson, who rose to fame after a clip of him on the news went viral, has prayed his gay away with the Black Hebrew Israelites.
In a flurry of tweets and Facebook postings, Dodson announced: “I have to renounce myself, I’m no longer into homosexuality I want a wife and family, I want to multiply and raise and love my family that I create.” He calls his former lifestyle “foolish” and says he no longer has time for it. He credits this change to being “awakened by the great” and describes himself as “the True Hebrew Israelite descendant of Judah.”
Dodson is referring to the Black Hebrew Israelites, a religious group made up of blacks who believe that the original Jews were black and that all blacks are descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel.
The response to Dodson’s announcement has been multitudinous, with each Facebook post garnering hundreds of comments ranging from supportive to incredulous. Check out his tweets below.
