This just in: The cable station FX will premiere American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson on Feb. 2, 2016. Executive-produced by Ryan Murphy, the 10-episode installment of the new limited series will relive a story that captivated Americans.

The O.J. Simpson case in 1995 was indeed reality television, before the genre had a name. But according to a previous announcement, The People v. O.J. Simpson will be quite different. Based on a novel by Jeffrey Toobin, the forthcoming series is a behind-the-scenes look at the notorious trial, as told from the perspective of the lawyers.

Cuba Gooding Jr. will take on the role of Simpson, and he will be joined by John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian and Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran.
