The US hockey team shocked the Canadians last night with a 5-3 victory
An underdog U.S. hockey team hadn't merely given a powerhouse Canadian team a fight in a roaring, red-decked arena. By night's end, it had enlarged its medal hopes and left an entire nation bruised.

So, this wasn't exactly Lake Placid and this game probably isn't going to have ramifications in geopolitics or anything, but the Canadians are pretty hurt by the whole thing (and yet still seem rather cheerful and well-disposed)
