Fairman's family said that the cause of her death appears to be an overdose, according to the site; however, the cause and manner of her death is still being investigated by police in Coatesville, Pa. The coroner is conducting a toxicology test to confirm the cause of death.

According to the report, Fairman apparently went to the bathroom in a friend's home in Coatesville Wednesday and never came out. The friend ended up breaking the door down after calling for Fairman and hearing no response. Fairman was found unresponsive on the floor.

According to TMZ, Fairman's 7-year-old daughter, Nevaeh, is with her maternal grandmother.

The 23-year-old appeared on the second season of 16 and Pregnant 2009-2010.

"We are saddened by the news of Valerie Fairman's passing," MTV said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time."
